Kyle Mounts

Managing Partner

Kyle Mounts is a seasoned finance professional with expertise in M&A advisory, Private Equity, and Venture Capital. As the co-founder of Aero X Ventures, he played a critical role in building the company, driving investment strategies, and positioning within the aerospace and defense sectors.

Before Aero X Ventures, Kyle served as Portfolio Manager at iGnosis Capital, leading investment strategies for mid to early-stage companies where he held executive roles and board seats in various ventures. His leadership across these companies allowed him to gain hands-on experience in operational strategy and growth within complex regulatory environments.

Earlier in his career, Kyle served as a Senior Private Banker at Wells Fargo, where he gained extensive experience advising the Ultra-High-Net-Worth families through complex financial transactions. During his time at WF, he held various SEC registrations, including Series 7 & 66.

With expertise in valuation, deal structuring, and strategic partnerships, Kyle brings a wealth of knowledge to every M&A transaction. He holds a BBA in Finance and an MBA from the Wharton School.

Sachin Agarwal

Partner, CFO

Currently Founder and CEO of Carrack Capital. Sachin is the former Portfolio Manager and Head of Public Markets for Drake Capital. He has launched three strategies for the family office to manage their liquidity and public market investments which help support long-term investment goals for the family. The strategies are systematic in nature with a focus on diversification, liquidity, scalability, and dividend income, which achieve a high Sharpe ratio. Before he worked for 11 years for Ziff Brother Investments firm in New York city.

Aaron Ishikawa

Partner, COO

Aaron is a strategist with extensive experience in building, funding, and acquiring technology-driven capabilities for the aerospace and defense industry. As General Partner at Aero X Ventures, he led the investment team and established a strong framework for deal sourcing and execution, driving the firm’s rapid success in the sector.

In his prior role as a Technology Acquisitions and Strategy Advisor at Booz Allen Hamilton, he was a trusted advisor to USAF and USSF leadership. He also founded a corporate incubator that developed data-driven solutions in partnership with top universities and startups. His work led to new business lines for the firm and fostered growth for government and private sector clients.

With a background in systems engineering, Aaron led cybersecurity software teams at Northrop Grumman and managed field operations for the Global Hawk UAV and radar programs at RTX. He holds an MBA from the Wharton School and MS/BS degrees in Systems Engineering from USC.

Esina Alic

Advisor

Esina Alic is a seasoned CEO and Fortune 50 executive with over 30 years of experience in corporate growth, mergers and acquisitions, and strategic partnerships across the defense, aerospace, high-tech, and commercial industries. She has a proven track record of leading organizations through significant transformations, including IPO preparations, divestitures, and global expansions in more than 30 countries.

Most recently, Esina served as President and CEO of Insitu, a leader in unmanned aircraft systems and software solutions. There, she drove strategic growth initiatives and oversaw key acquisitions that enhanced the company’s market position. At Boeing, she held senior executive roles where she defined growth strategies for the Global Services & Support Division and led the merger of Boeing’s Commercial and Defense services businesses, maximizing operational synergies.

Earlier in her career, as Vice President of Finance at Visa, she was instrumental in preparing the company for its initial public offering and developing strategies for effective partner financial management. Her experience also includes senior roles at Adidas, where she managed global operations strategy and a portfolio of international programs.

Esina specializes in M&A activities, including IPOs, startup capital, and divestitures, as well as corporate strategy and operational excellence. She excels in accelerating strategy execution, optimizing product portfolios, and leading empowered teams. Passionate about driving customer success and innovation, she collaborates with executive teams to optimize operations, eliminate inefficiencies, and ensure sustainable growth.

Kurt Sonntag

Advisor (Major General, Retired, US Army)

Major General (Retired) Kurt L. Sonntag is a senior executive with nearly 40 years of leadership experience in U.S. Special Operations and the U.S. Army. He has extensive expertise in strategic planning, organizational transformation, and building international partnerships—skills directly applicable to mergers and acquisitions.

In his most recent role, he served as the 33rd Commander of the U.S. Army John F. Kennedy Special Operations Center and School, overseeing the training and development of over 26,000 personnel. He implemented organizational changes that led to significant cost savings and improved operational efficiency.

Previously, Kurt was the Commanding General of the Combined Joint Task Force – Horn of Africa, where he managed security operations and capacity-building initiatives across East Africa. He also served as the Commanding General of the Theater Special Operations Command – South, enhancing security cooperation with partner nations in Central and South America and the Caribbean.

Kurt is known for tackling complex challenges, developing practical solutions, and leading high-performing teams. His ability to forge strategic relationships across government, academia, NGOs, and foreign entities makes him a valuable asset in the M&A sector, particularly in areas requiring coordination across diverse stakeholders and international borders.

Kurt received his commission from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and over his career has received many awards and decorations for his service. In addition to his Bachelor of Science Degree from West Point, he also received a Master’s Degree in History from Louisiana State University, a Master’s Degree in National Security Strategy from the U.S. Naval War College and was a U.S. Army War College Fellow at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.

Sarah Anderson

Advisor

Sarah is a Senior Executive with over 25 years of experience in the National Security, Defense & Intelligence Communities. Her diverse background includes leadership in Fortune 100 and Fortune 500 defense and consulting firms. She was responsible for over $3B in strategic programs and teams, drove organizational strategy and oversaw complex business operations for federal clients.

Most recently, Sarah served as the Deputy Director of Contract Management for the National Security Portfolio at Accenture Federal Services, where she specialized in identifying and managing business risk by ensuring legal and regulatory compliance, delivering on contractual obligations, and monitoring adherence with corporate policies. Sarah is an expert in drafting, interpreting, and negotiating all types of contract engagements while applying insights from diverse corporate functions, each with unique P&L considerations. She applies this expertise to M&A due diligence, decision-making, and post-transaction planning and execution.

Previously, Sarah was the Director of SATCOM Programs for ITT Corporation Communication Systems, leading development & sustainment programs for the U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force. She established a track-record of rapidly transforming business unit P&L by improving new business win-rates, implementing staffing and operating efficiencies, and reducing labor costs. She was also the Director of Lockheed Martin Strategic Services, where she guided specialized teams of program managers, engineers, contract managers, and subcontract experts through high-profile strategic pursuits.

Earlier in her career, Sarah served as a Staff Operations Officer for the Central Intelligence Agency and Senior Counterintelligence Program Planner for the Department of Defense, while also bringing unique insights garnered through her work as a Legislative Assistant in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Sarah holds an MBA from the Wharton School, a JM in Law & Economics (Intellectual Property and Technology emphasis) from the George Mason University Antonin Scalia Law School, and a Bachelor of Science in Political Science.

Andrei Illias

Advisor

Andrei has 20-years of experience in Special Operations, Aviation and Intelligence.

 He has leveraged innovative technologies to accomplish National Security Strategy priorities. Andrei has supervised world-wide execution of critical projects for U.S. Special Operations Command and has extensive experience managing relationships with the U.S. Intelligence Community, senior U.S. Government executives and foreign partners.  

 He is a rated pilot in AH-64 Apache and UH-60 Blackhawk helicopters with four combat deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan. 

 He holds a Master of Business Administration from the Wharton School and a Law Degree from the University of Pennsylvania.

Daniel Edwards

Advisor

Dan Edwards is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Elliott Aviation. In this role, he emphasizes setting industry-leading customer service levels, expanding capacity through productivity and facility enhancements, and making Elliott Aviation the employer of choice for top industry talent.

Prior to joining Elliott Aviation, Dan served as the CEO of Triman Holdings, LLC, the parent company of Triman Industries, CTG, and Brighton Cromwell. There, he led efforts to provide supply chain, repair management, logistics, and analytical solutions to the defense and aerospace sectors, focusing on reducing lead times and costs, improving performance, managing obsolescence, and mitigating risks.

Earlier in his career, Dan was the Vice President of Operations at MAG Aerospace, where he contributed to significant growth in the C4ISR market. He also held leadership positions as General Manager at ATS, a commercial maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) company, and as President of Zodiac Arresting Systems for 13 years, leading the world’s foremost supplier of emergency aircraft arresting systems.

Dan served over 23 years in the United States Air Force, both active duty and reserve, as a KC-10 pilot. His military roles included Commander of the 78th Air Refueling Squadron and Deputy Operations Group Commander at McGuire Air Force Base.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the U.S. Air Force Academy and an MBA in Finance from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Dan’s extensive leadership and operational experience in the aerospace and defense industries, coupled with his expertise in supply chain management and organizational growth, make him a valuable asset in mergers and acquisitions within these sectors.

Michael McAdams

Advisor

Michael McAdams is a public safety executive with over 35 years of experience. He is a
former Assistant Fire Chief with Montgomery County Fire Rescue Service and Prince
George’s County Fire/Emergency Medical Services Department. Chief McAdams led
sections in Operations, Emergency Medical Services, Training and Leadership, and Special
Operations. During his fire service career, Mike managed multiple federal grant projects
for the National Capital Region.

Mike graduated from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. He completed a
postgraduate certification in Public Planning at the George Washington University School
of Business and obtained a Master of Arts in Security Studies from the Naval Postgraduate
School, Monterey, California.

Currently, Mike is the Quality Assurance/Quality Improvement Manager for the University
of Maryland Fire Rescue Institute and serves as the Assistant Fire Chief at the Hillandale
Volunteer Fire Department.

Mike and his wife have four adult children and one dog. His passion is volunteering service
to his community and mentoring aspiring leaders.

Andrew Anton

Advisor

Andrew is a seasoned leader in the technology industry, with 15 years of experience in sales consulting, and leading digital transformation initiatives. His customers include EU and U.S. government agencies, many of the fastest growing companies of the past decade, such as Airbnb, Uber, Stripe, and Peloton.

Andrew currently serves as the Vice President of Global Sales Consulting and General Manager for Asia-Pacific at Trintech where he leads the global presales organization with teams in North America, Europe, and Australia. Before Trintech, Andrew founded the sales consulting practice at Celonis for regulated industries and mid-market, focused on operational efficiency and supply chain optimization. His strategic approach to building and scaling sales operations & teams resulted in significant revenue increase.

 Andrew also held a key role at Zendesk during its rapid growth stage, leading sales consulting teams and global value consulting, consistently exceeding sales targets. During his four-year tenure at Zendesk, Andrew was awarded for leading the top revenue-generating teams globally for two years. Earlier in his career, Andrew held technical roles at Oracle Corporation and Exigo Office Inc., honing his skills in product development and sales consulting. He has also lent his expertise to new tech startups as an advisor on sales and sales operations.

Andrew also served in the U.S. Army as an instructor and infantry leader performing NATO peacekeeping duties in the Balkans and stability operations in the Middle East.

 Andrew holds an Executive MBA from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, and a B.S. in Business Administration from Texas A&M University, where he graduated summa cum laude. He is also fluent in English, Portuguese, and Spanish.
